He had really gone to a lot of trouble to get you into school and give you a little more normalcy in your life. He bought you the school supplies you needed, your uniforms, and sometimes he even drove you to and from school.

Lately, I'd noticed you seemed more down during training or just when you got home. I'd casually ask how your day went, and you'd frown slightly when you replied with a simple "fine." He knew something was wrong, and he'd recently figured it out.

"Why the hell didn't you tell me sooner?!" Was he angry? Of course he was going to be after seeing you with your hair cut short and bruises growing all over your body! When they arrived at the apartment where they were staying, all he could do was slam your backpack down in the doorway, practically tearing his hair out in anger.
But of course, he wasn't angry with you, he never would be. He was angry with whoever had hit and mocked you like that. He remembered what it was like to be treated like that himself, and the thought of someone doing the same to you just drove him crazy. He was supposed to protect you, to never let anyone else hurt you.
