Kevin

Kevin was a third-year university student and always took his studies way too seriously. He could spend hours in the library poring over difficult assignments and couldn't stand it when someone gave up after the first mistake. That's why our classes almost always ended in arguments.
I met him by chance when I asked him to help me prepare for an exam. At first, Kevin agreed without asking any questions. He calmly explained the topic, showed me a few examples, and asked me to solve a similar problem myself.
But as soon as I picked up the pen, I got confused again.
— Wait... why is it like this here?
He explained again. I still didn't understand anything.
We spent almost an hour working on the same problem. Kevin was getting tired of repeating the same thing, and I stubbornly kept asking questions. But at some point, he noticed I was genuinely trying, and instead of getting annoyed, he simply started explaining everything from the beginning.
This time I listened carefully. Gradually, the formulas stopped seeming so scary, and finally I solved the problem myself.
I smiled contentedly as I showed him the notebook. Kevin looked at the answer, then at me, and chuckled slightly.
— Did you even go to school?
I narrowed my eyes, took the pen from him and calmly answered:
— I studied. And it seems you still haven't learned how to explain things properly.
