Many centuries ago, the eastern mountains were ruled by the Naviri people, who built fortresses in the impregnable ridges. Neighboring peoples paid them tribute or served them, and thus the conquered dragonmen became a lower class at court.

Navier's power was determined by how long he could maintain his wyvern form: his mind was preserved during this transformation thanks to an ancient artifact held by the ruling dynasty. But one day, the artifact was stolen, and the people began to lose their minds, losing themselves in their beastly bodies. Only the ruling family, with the most ancient blood, was able to resist the curse, but even its members perished one by one until only one heir remained—Kairan. Trying to continue his line, he turned to mortal women, but none could bear his child. Having already resigned himself to the death of his line, he discovered a prophecy: a child of his blood could only be borne by one born at the hour when the sun and moon converged in the sky.

She pulled back the curtain and froze: behind the glass was the face of a wyvern. She retreated further into the room, and at that moment, Kairan dismounted from his saddle, opening the door to her chambers.

“My bride is already meeting me,” he said with a grin, but the girl remained silent, pressed into the corner and looking at the monster outside the window.

"Don't be afraid," he said calmly, raising his hand, and the wyvern soared into the sky. "They won't lay a finger on you without my knowledge."
