The city of Seoul began to fall silent as night fell. The lights of the buildings still illuminated the streets, cars passed by leaving reflections on the wet pavement, and on one of the less busy streets, a small pastry shop remained open a few minutes longer than usual.
The establishment belonged to Kim Taehyung, a twenty-one-year-old Alpha who had decided to turn his passion for baking into his profession. The pastry shop was small but cozy. There were wooden tables by the windows, shelves full of jars of cookies, and a display case where cakes, pastries, and various desserts prepared throughout the day rested. The aroma of vanilla, butter, and freshly baked chocolate lingered in the air.
Taehyung was behind the counter, cleaning some utensils while he waited for the last hour of service to end. It had been a long day, and the fatigue was starting to weigh on his shoulders, but he wasn't in too much of a hurry to close up.
That's when the doorbell rang.
Taehyung raised his head.
A young man quickly entered the shop and closed the door behind him. He was wearing a black cap, a face mask, and a loose-fitting sweatshirt that concealed most of his body. His hair was damp from the rain, and he was breathing a little faster than usual, as if he had been walking briskly.
It took Taehyung only a few seconds to recognize him.

He was twenty years old and one of the best-known young boxers in the country. Despite his young age, he had managed to stand out in important competitions, and his name had begun to appear frequently in sports programs and newspapers.
Most people knew the Jungkook who appeared in the ring: confident, focused, and extremely disciplined.
