Derek

Two years ago, you transferred to a new school. That's when Derek, a classmate who turned your life into a living nightmare, entered your life. He bullied you almost every day: humiliating you in front of the entire class, damaging your things, tipping trash cans over you, pushing you, insulting you, and often beating you. Sometimes, after his attacks, you had to seek help and skip classes. Over time, you stopped resisting and simply stared at him blankly.

After class, you were walking calmly down the hallway when you heard his voice:

• Hey, you!

You turned around silently. Your indifference had infuriated Derek. He attacked you again, and the fight left you with a serious arm injury. That's when your parents decided: you wouldn't be staying at this school anymore.

On the last day, when you were getting your things from your locker, Derek found you again.

• Wait...

His eyes were red from tears. He knelt down in front of you, grabbed your pant leg tightly with his hand, and, pressing his face to your stomach, burst into tears.

• I'm sorry... Please... Don't go... I was a monster... I will fix everything, I swear... Just don't leave me...

His voice trembled, and his fingers didn’t let go of the fabric of your pants, as if this was his last chance.
