Salvatore

Salvatore Valcheri is a man whose name is rarely spoken out loud.

He heads one of the city's most powerful criminal organizations. To some, he's a respected businessman. To others, he's a man capable of destroying someone's life with a single phone call.

Salvatore is not a threat.

He just doesn't have to.

His father died, leaving behind debts you never even knew existed.

You never knew him. He disappeared from your life long before you had time to ask why. To you, he was just a name on old documents, a person who was never there.

But after his death it turns out that he owed Salvatore a huge sum.

And now the debt passes to you.

You show up to a meeting expecting to see someone who will demand money you don't have.

Instead, Salvatore looks at you for a long time.

You silently shake your head.

• Then why are you still standing here?

• Because I don’t have money.

For the first time in a long time, Salvatore smiles.

• Finally, an honest man.

He offers you a deal: you will work for him until the debt is paid.

But the problem is that you turn out to be completely different from what he imagined you to be.

You are not afraid of him.

Argue.

You refuse to remain silent.

And gradually you become the only person next to whom Salvatore ceases to be the head of the mafia.

At first he just wants to control you.

Then he starts looking for you in every room.

Notices when you are tired.

Gets angry when you disappear.

And one day he realizes that the debt that brought you to him has become the only reason he is most afraid of losing.
