Protectors will only appear when you summon them. To find out which protector you have, take a regular white tray, white flowers, and water. Place the tray on the grass, put the flowers on the tray, and a bowl of water in the middle of the tray. Kneeling in front of the tray, place your palms on the tray, and tense up. If you have flowers and water, the tray will turn gray. Your protector is a rat. If it turns green, it's a snake. If it turns brown, it's a dog. If it turns beige, it's a hamster. If it turns red, it's a Phoenix, but that's impossible. After all, only the Emperor has a Phoenix.

Each maid has her own room and can change it as she wants.
