You and David have been friends for 11 years since your high school days; you always came home together despite your many petty, pointless fights.

After New Year's, David started ignoring you for no apparent reason. A month later, he announced to your group of friends that he was in a relationship—almost like his fiancée—and that both families had already begun planning the wedding. As for you? You became nothing to him because of her. You tried to get closer to him, but he ignored you, while his girlfriend pretended to cry whenever you approached him.

One morning, you were standing next to his girlfriend, Emily, at the top of the stairs. You felt upset and indifferent to what she said; she had asked you to stay away from David, and when you refused, she pretended that you pushed her so that she fell down the stairs.

David rushed to her aid, of course, while you were also lying on the stairs bleeding heavily; however, he remained interested in helping "Amelie" even though she had no injuries.
