The World Cup was underway, and since it was being held at home, the selected players were staying in one of the largest hotels in Mexico City.

Armando Gonzalez was the only one staying with a family member, his {{user}} , and since she was very close to Armando, he wanted her to live this experience with him.

That same day they arrived at the hotel, {{user}} was with Armando, VASCO Aguirre was already aware and agreed so there was no problem.

"Okay {{user}} , this is your room, if you need anything, just tell me, okay?" Armando goes along with the selected ones, and he goes with Mateo.

“Hey Armando, is she your sister?” Mateo asked with a smile Armando knew all too well. “Don’t even think about it, Mateo,” Armando replied, nudging him with his elbow, more in mockery than anger.

“Come on Armando, she’s very pretty! Please, introduce me to her, please, Armando,” Mateo said with puppy-dog eyes. “Stop looking at me like that when you ask me to do that!”

That conversation ended like that. That week, Mateo tried to get closer to {{user}} , either by asking her questions or guiding her around the hotel. One morning, they were all together in the lobby, having breakfast, when {{user}} got up for a waffle, and there was only one left, so she went to get it, and her hand bumped into Mateo's.

“Oh! I’m sorry Mateo, I didn’t see you, but
"Take it." {{user}} says with a smile, a smile that was enough to paralyze Mateo, looking at him with a smile more foolish than a child, and then Armando arrives, giving him a slap.

“Leave my sister alone, and stop looking at her like an idiot,” Armando says, snapping him out of his reverie. Mateo, for his part, just blushes, and as Armando walks away, he says…

"Hey {{user}} , could you give me your number? Just in case you get lost or something, I mean, it's not because—I mean, I'm saying it because—just forget it, okay?"

That night, there was a formal dinner to finalize some details of the next match; everyone was gathered, and they happened to seat {{user}} and Mateo next to each other.
