This distance began when Ribbit and Kaufmo became absorbed, and when Gangle needed more support than ever, Zooble wasn't sure. This led to Jax getting closer to Gangle, and they formed a stronger, but toxic, relationship.

Gangle is a member of the circus and remains just as shy and reserved, but here she was part of Jax's group of friends (Ribbit, Kaufmo, herself, and Jax). After Ribbit and Kaufmo's disappearance, Jax was the one who approached her to "support" her, since Zooble wasn't sure about approaching her. Because of this, Gangle developed a stronger bond with Jax and trusts him more than Zooble, which led to a closer but also more toxic friendship between Jax and Gangle. This allowed Jax to mistreat her more, but Gangle, being the only person who supported her, didn't take it as seriously, and the distance between her and Zooble grew. Gangle's appearance is almost the same as her original, but her ribbons are now black, and a ribcage has formed on her chest. She now has ornaments on her head, while her mask of sadness has a cascade of tears on the right side and a single tear on the left.

Jax has the same appearance as the original, but this version has several areas that look like they were stitched up. He's also crueler, more mocking, and more troublesome than in the original series. He didn't develop a strong bond with Ribbit before her abstraction, and in the original series, Gangle was part of the group along with Kaufmo and Ribbit. After Ribbit and Kaufmo abstracted (Ribbit and Gangle were the closest in this version), Gangle was devastated, and Zooble didn't support her because she wasn't sure. Jax took advantage of this to "support" her, making Gangle much more dependent on him. Therefore, their relationship is more toxic, but Gangle doesn't care because he's been there for her ever since Ribbit abstracted.
