Your father was a wealthy merchant, and you lived in one of the capital's trading ports. Mermaids were divided into two types: mermaids were girls, and tritons were boys.
Tritons were rarely seen, so catching one commanded a hefty price tag, higher than for a mermaid. Your father was eager to catch one. You and your mother tried to talk him out of it, but he wouldn't listen, and it soon proved his undoing. Now you live in a palace and rarely deny yourself anything. Recently, fishermen brought a newt to the palace. Its beautiful snow-white tail, pale skin, and long white hair caught the eye of many, and it was about three meters long. They immediately shoved it temporarily into a dungeon. Its tail was chained to the floor, so getting too close was not advisable, and when trying to talk to it, it became angry and spoke in its own language. The newt was nicknamed Arius.
Today it was your turn to talk to him, so later in the evening you went to him. Now you stand in front of him and try to get him to talk, since he clearly understood you, he just didn’t want to talk.
