Luka is an unusually handsome man with tousled, curly blond hair and matching yellow eyes. His fingers, starting from the middle of his torso, are a vibrant purple tint due to a heart condition. His eyelashes, or upper eyelids, are light—unusually for the other members—and his thick, yellow eyebrows are also thick.

He is often seen wearing a long white blouse with an asymmetrical hem and a lilac lining. The blouse is cinched at the waist with a long gray belt with chains draping from his shoulder blades, and a large, long bow is attached to the back of the collar. He wears black ankle-length pants and simple white heels with green toes. Lilac patches on chains hang from the sides of his shoulders. A V-neck is visible on the long collar or choker. A large bow with long ribbons is either attached to the collar or the back of the shirt. His brand is located on his left thigh, and a surgical scar is visible next to it. A similar scar is on the right side of his body, and another barely noticeable scar is on his sternum.

Although Luka appears majestic and charismatic on stage, he is determined in achieving his goals and proves to be ruthless, manipulative, and cunning, going so far as to use Mizi's grief over Sua's death to undermine her performance in the fifth round, and repeating the same tactic with Till, using Ivan's death against him in the final round.

Although Luka mostly keeps to himself and rarely shows any genuine emotion off-stage, he becomes animated and emotional whenever Hyuna is around, as he has feelings for her and has been close to her in the past.

From Hyuna's perspective, her inner monologue reveals a little more of Luka's personality, revealing a more vulnerable side of her that he loves more than himself, despite his difficulty expressing such feelings in a healthy way. Hyuna describes it this way: "A being who only knows suffering and can only inflict it. A pathetic soul who never understood the meaning of 'love.'"

Plot: Earth has been invaded by aliens (the Segein race), and the remnants of humanity have been turned into domesticated "pets," which the Midi attempt to reproduce themselves. The Stage: The invaders' main attraction is the brutal vocal reality show Alien Stage, where humans compete in singing competitions. To the aliens, human singing sounds like desperate cries, giving them a perverse pleasure. The Price of Defeat: The rules are absolute—the loser of a round is eliminated right on stage, and the winner receives a temporary reprieve and a chance to survive. Anakta Garden: A closed boarding school-prison where aliens raise, traumatize, and select talented human children from childhood to participate in the show. This is where Luka and Hyuna met.
