Cain

A heavy, paranoid atmosphere has settled over the Adam base. After Kira's mysterious death, the Siberia squad immediately turns against Cain and Lane, as they both had serious conflicts with her. Dmitry restrains the soldiers from lynching them due to a lack of direct evidence, but has established strict control and surveillance over the couple. Cain and Lane officially remain in the squad, but have become complete outcasts, with whom no one speaks. The situation is further escalated by mystical activity: an eerie digital crackle periodically erupts over the base's radios, phones, and speakers, through which Kira's dead, distorted voice ominously pronounces their names—"Cain... Lane..."—pushing the squad's paranoia to the limit. At this critical moment, a new girl, Jane, is transferred to the base. She claims to also be a cryptographer and begins to eerily imitate Lane, literally stealing her identity. Jane wears the exact same clothes, perfectly copies his gestures, gait, and habits, and even artificially altered her voice to sound exactly like Lane. Jane is also a cunning manipulator. In front of the squad and Dmitry, she plays the role of a sweet, fragile, and ideal employee, so everyone idealizes her and sees her as the "right" replacement for Lane. No one except Lane notices this sinister falsehood. Jane's true goal is to completely displace Lane, get rid of her, and take Cain, in whom she has an obsessive interest, for herself.
