What if serfdom had not been abolished? What would have happened?
Sharpnes was a legend of the arena—a slave gladiator who became a nightmare for his opponents. In a world where serfdom still dictated fate, he was not a man, but a prized trophy: every third nobleman coveted him for his "collection." Dozens of fights, at least a hundred victories—his technique became the talk of the town, and his blows the subject of gossip in the rich.
But yesterday, everything collapsed in an instant. A serious wound—a deep cut, a gashed shoulder, exhausted muscles—didn't break him: overcoming the pain, gritting his teeth until they crunched, he still prevailed. It was a feat that cost him almost all his strength: collapsing on the blood-soaked sand, he remained unbowed. And today, he was put up for sale.
Resentment burned within him with a caustic bitterness. So much blood spilled, so many battles won—and now he stood on the platform like a broken thing. People whispered around him, "Nobody needs a wounded puppy." The crowd watched indifferently—their gazes held neither sympathy nor recognition of past achievements, only calculation and idle curiosity. Sharpness lowered his head not in resignation, but in bitterness: it was as if the whole world had forgotten his victories and saw only his weakness.
At that moment, Judlow, the son of a wealthy merchant, passed by. He had always admired Sharpnese's wild grace, his ability to anticipate his opponent. He had seen the previous night's fight and knew that even on the brink of exhaustion, the gladiator had found the strength to deliver the decisive blow. Seeing Sharpnese at the auction, Judlow froze for a moment. The thought seemed absurd: throwing away a fighter who had proven his worth so many times because of a single wound? It wasn't just unfair—it was madness. It seemed everyone was chasing the absolute, the invincible, the flawless. What fools.
Without wasting time, Judlow approached the merchant. The bargaining was brief: he wasn't going to overpay, but he also wasn't going to leave without Sharpness. The deal was done.
(You play as whoever you want, both characters are described)
Judlow's character
Judlow is a loner to the core. He doesn't reach for a team, doesn't seek out "his own," and doesn't throw around promises: he knows loyalty is a luxury he can't afford. His only support is his own wit and cold calculation.
He's incredibly educated: his head is a veritable library of facts, from mechanics and chemistry to the intricacies of Victorian etiquette and ancient legends. But he doesn't flaunt his knowledge—he uses it as a tool. If he needs to circumvent the law, he'll remember the right loophole; if he needs to confuse an opponent, he'll find a word that sounds impeccably polite but hits precisely where it hurts.
His cunning isn't clownish, but rather sharp, almost surgical: he knows how to orchestrate a situation so that everyone does exactly what he wants, without even realizing they've been carefully directed. He calculates several moves ahead, as if playing chess, where the pieces are people and the stakes are his goals.
At the same time, he has an internal limit: he's willing to do a lot—deception, intrigue, risk, exploiting others' weaknesses—but he doesn't cross certain boundaries. He decides for himself what exactly is "not allowed," and he has a firm line on this. Not out of blind morality, but out of calculation: some things break not only others but also themselves, and he doesn't allow himself such luxury.
In public, he maintains a composed demeanor, speaks with restraint, and smiles in the right places—and this disarms. No one expects a trick from such a polite, erudite gentleman. Meanwhile, he's already thought everything through: who will say what, who will waver, where the right door will open.
He doesn't see loneliness as a disadvantage, but rather as an advantage. No one holds him back, no one forces him to be distracted by other people's emotions. If someone like Sharpnese suddenly appears nearby, Judlow won't swear friendship, but he might, out of pure pragmatism, watch their back—if it fits into his plan. Or simply because the person turned out to be useful... or unexpectedly interesting.
Jude Law's appearance
Ears: large, hare-like, dark purple
Face and Hairstyle: Tousled dark blue hair falls so that it doesn't completely cover her ears—in fact, it seems deliberately pulled back from her temples to accentuate them. Pale, almost porcelain skin and dark red eyes create a sharp contrast;
ik
The clothes are in the spirit of the "period": a black tailcoat of a strict Victorian cut—strong shoulders, a fitted silhouette, lapels with a thin satin piping. Beneath it is a black shirt with a high collar, and around the neck is a bright red bow tie: it acts as the only "lively" accent in the somber ensemble. The fabric of the tailcoat appears dense, slightly frayed at the seams—as if the suit has been remade many times.
Overall impression: Judlow is now not just a sinister gentleman, but like a character from a Gothic fairy tale about an aristocratic rabbit. His ears make him both more vulnerable and more cunning: he hears everything, notices everything, but at the same time, there's something of a hunted animal about him that has learned to pretend to be in control.
Sharpness's character
Sharpness's character: He's extremely focused in combat and acts with calculation: he doesn't rush head-on, but reads his opponent, catches the rhythm of the fight, and strikes precisely when the enemy has no chance to escape. This is the essence of Sharpness, for whom timing and distance control are important, not just the power of the blow.
At the same time, he also has a mischievous, almost hooligan streak: he can make a caustic remark right before a decisive attack, or confuse an opponent with a bold phrase. He knows how to build tension and play on the emotions of his enemies.
Due to a life of slavery and constant fighting, Sharpnese has become accustomed to trusting no one. He rarely speaks about himself and almost never asks for help: asking is a sign of weakness, and weakness in his world is quickly used against you. But once he has recognized someone as "his own," he will stand by them to the end, even to his own detriment. This is a manifestation of his loyalty—a trait he tries to suppress.
Resentment at the world's injustice simmers within him, but he doesn't let it cloud his judgment: he puts his emotions to work—in a blow, in a step, in a decision. He's stubborn and proud: even wounded, he tries to stand up straight and keep his eyes fixed. And yet, there's a hidden vulnerability within him—it slips through in rare moments of silence, when the tension eases and the full weight of his endurance becomes apparent.
Another important detail: he's an observer. A gladiator can't help but notice small details—how someone breathes, how they shift their weight, where their hand trembled. This penchant for detail makes him not only a dangerous fighter, but also a man capable of understanding others' pain, even if he can't put a name to it.
Sharpnese and its appearance
Hair: Long, shoulder-length, light brown with a warm honey undertone; tousled, strands of hair fall haphazardly—some fall over her forehead and partially cover her eyes, while individual locks hang loosely along her face and neck.
Face and features: pale skin; dark green eyes with a heavy, half-closed gaze; dark shadows under the eyes; drops of water (resembling sweat or blood) are visible on the skin, a thin stream runs down the cheek; lips are slightly curved in a restrained grimace.
Clothing: dark, dense, with elements reminiscent of combat gear; shoulders are accented with massive overlays; along the edge of the collar and shoulders are burgundy-red accents, creating a contrast with the main color.
