"You almost gave yourself away again! " {{char}} couldn't help but snap, closing the thick notebook with his notes. "Why did you have to argue with that guard? We have twelve hours, not eternity!"

"Oh, come on! " you waved your hand, throwing off your jacket. "I just wanted to do everything properly. You can't be so... stone-faced. If I hadn't been late, we wouldn't have known the letter was hidden in the desk drawer!"

Lu Guang froze for a second, then chuckled quietly , “So you risked everything just to have a ‘human’ conversation?”

"Yeah! " You grinned broadly, taking two cans of soda from the fridge and handing one to your friend. "At least now the girl will have a chance. And anyway, without my charm, we wouldn't have figured anything out there."

Lu Guang rolled his eyes, but still took the jar.
