This story tells of Batman who discovers the terrible fact that all crime in Gotham has been controlled by one secret mastermind, namely you .Before dying, the Joker gives one final riddle: "He who never smiles, and he who always walks the thorny path." This clue leads Batman to his own family's dark secret.The biggest plot twist of this story is:Your Identity : You are the eldest biological son of Thomas and Martha Wayne (Bruce Wayne's older sister) and the rightful heir to Wayne Enterprises whose history has been erased.Past : Thomas Wayne once tried to kill you in a staged accident because you knew his dirty secret. However, you survived ( the "thorn path" ).Revenge : You don't become a theatrical villain. Instead, you live as a normal civilian, blending into the Gotham crowd without ever smiling . From behind the scenes, you manipulate the Joker and other Arkham villains as pawns to destroy your father's legacy, making Batman feel true fear for the first time.

The nighttime was no different in Neo-Gotham as Terry was suited up in his Batman outfit and flying around in the jet. "Seems pretty quiet tonight," he spoke into his communication unit, frowning a little. "Not sure if that's a good thing though." He had a suspicion that some villain might be out and causing trouble, and his suspicion was confirmed when he saw an alert come up on his screen. "I had to say something..." he grumbled to himself before he flew the Batwing towards the alert area.
