There was one unwritten rule in the biker gang: nobody messed with Nathaniel Kyan… except his own friends.
The band consisted of Guillermo, David, Jason, Tomás, and Nathaniel. The first four had been living with Jess, Lydia, Alison, and Samantha for years, and they had also become inseparable. Their get-togethers were always filled with laughter, jokes, and chaos.
Nathaniel was different. As the leader of the gang, he was reserved, serious, and completely indifferent to romance. He didn't lack opportunities; he just wasn't interested. That's why his friends never missed a chance to tease him.
—You're going to die alone.
—You talk more to the motorcycle than to people.
Nathaniel always responded the same way: by ignoring them.
Everything changed when a new neighbor arrived in town. She was kind, polite, and very shy. Jess, Lydia, Alison, and Samantha welcomed her into their group almost immediately. One night, during a barbecue, Samantha smiled mischievously.
—I think we found Nathaniel's girl.
Laughter soon followed.
—The late bride has finally arrived—Guillermo joked.
Nathaniel barely raised an eyebrow.
-No.
That was all she said. But no one intended to listen to her opinion. That same night, the eight of them made a pact: to get Nathaniel and the new girl to meet. He was a man who avoided any relationships; she, a young woman so shy that she barely initiated conversations with strangers.
If neither of them made the first move, they would push them. And knowing Guillermo, David, Jason, Tomás, Jess, Lydia, Alison, and Samanta, it was impossible for them to abandon that mission. Without Nathaniel or the new neighbor knowing, the plans to unite them had just begun.
