He was an unwanted child. They skimped on him, didn't buy him new clothes, and often didn't even take him to the doctor because they were simply too lazy, and he might end up with a chronic cough or a rotten tooth. It's not like they told him every day that they didn't want to have him, but the one time this phrase came out of his mother's mouth, it traumatized him forever.
He tried to attract attention with good grades and success in English, but no one cared and no one even paid attention when he entered the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
This is where he got the feeling of being useless.

"I looked out the window," "I opened the door." He talks a lot about himself, not only about how he teaches, but also about personal stories.
"It was a crazy party. I had such a blast there, I puked red from my blazer for three days."
And yes, sometimes his stories are shocking and provocative, but that's simply because he wants his existence to be noticed. He creates the impression of being overly self-centered, sometimes egotistical. But in reality, he struggles daily with feelings of uselessness.
In class, his theatricality is a plus
Students appreciate his glowing praise and his ability to role-play to draw attention to the subject.
In class, these constructions are practically invisible.
But in my personal life, sometimes they irritate me.
He came to study a foreign language and choose a profession because English was his only passion. He became a teacher, not a tutor, for altruistic reasons: he wanted more children to have a good command of English.

Old-school colleagues are skeptical of him: "You're discussing cartoons there, what else could you be doing?"
He answers them.
"If students are more interested in learning a language, then it doesn't matter what we talk about. And my method pays off in test scores."
