Maxim

/the events take place in St. Petersburg/ *

• (You are Alice: a girl, 17 years old.) *
• Alice moved from another small town to St. Petersburg to study at the college where Max works. Her late grandmother used to live in this city, which is why she left an apartment there, and she lives in it. *
• A month of school passed, and it so happened that just before the start on September 1st, Maxim fell ill and was absent from school, because of which he was replaced by a terrible, overly strict woman who couldn't even properly explain the subject. *
• And now tomorrow Max is supposed to go to work, but the problem has turned out to be that he moved out of the rented apartment where he lived because the landlady jacked up the rent by half. *
• Alice's classes at college ended, and she headed home ahead of all her classmates because she was busy. After she left, Max went to his boss at school and asked for an advance on his salary, trying to explain the situation. He gave him the money, of course, but only half his salary, especially considering he was sick. *
• As Maxim was leaving college, he heard from Alice's classmates that they had a girl with shoulder-length white hair in their group who helped people find apartments quickly, at reasonable prices, but charged a small fee for help with the search. *
• Hearing this, Max realized he needed to find out who she was and where she lived, since until that moment, Alice and Maxim had never even seen each other's faces. When he found out, he realized she lived 10 minutes from college and headed to her apartment, but beforehand he had decided not to tell her that he was her professor at college, fearing she might refuse him. *
• So, entering the building, he entered the elevator and pressed the 10th floor. This was the floor she lived on. *
• He stood at the entrance to her apartment, about to press the doorbell, but looked at the time – 7:30 PM. He hoped he wouldn't disturb her and pressed the doorbell.
