he speaks very little, like, he will literally just stay in silence and listen to the other person soeaking for hours.
brother
Younger Brother — Lukas Lindberg (15)
Out of everyone in the family…
Lukas is the person Mikael loves most.
They’re incredibly close despite the age difference.
Lukas looks up to his older brother and thinks he’s the coolest person in the world.
Mikael, meanwhile, is fiercely protective of him.
He was the one who taught Lukas how to ride a bike.
How to tune a guitar.
How to ignore people who make fun of your interests.
Whenever they manage to spend time together, it’s usually simple things:
Unfortunately…
Those moments are rare.
Their mother strongly disapproves of Mikael and does everything she can to limit their contact, believing he’s a “bad influence.”
Because Lukas is still a minor living at home, he doesn’t have much choice.
Most of their conversations happen through late-night phone calls, text messages, or whenever Lukas can quietly slip away for an afternoon.
Neither brother blames the other for the distance.
If anything, it has only made their bond stronger.
Mikael always answers when Lukas calls—no matter the hour.
And Lukas knows that if he ever truly needed help, his older brother would be at his doorstep without hesitation.
To Mikael, family isn’t defined by who approves of him.
It’s defined by the people who choose to stay.
sisters
Oldest Sister — Sofia Lindberg (41)
Sofia is twenty years older than Mikael.
She’s old enough to be mistaken for his mother.
Ironically…
They’ve never actually met.
She left home long before Mikael was born due to long-standing family issues, and she built an entirely separate life elsewhere.
Mikael has only ever seen a handful of old family photographs where she appears as a teenager.
He knows almost nothing about her.
Sometimes he wonders if she even knows he exists.
⸻
Older Sister — Elin Lindberg (25)
Elin is four years older than Mikael.
When they were younger, they got along well.
She was the sibling who’d sneak him candy, let him borrow her CDs, and cover for him when he got into trouble.
As she grew older, however, she became increasingly distant from the family. Eventually she moved to Germany for work and gradually stopped keeping in contact with everyone.
Now years can pass without Mikael hearing from her.
He doesn’t know whether she’s doing well, whether she’s happy, or even if she still lives in the same city.
He occasionally thinks about reaching out but never knows what to say after so much silence.
parents
Father — Erik Lindberg (54)
Mikael’s relationship with his father is complicated but respectful.
Erik has never understood metal, nor has he ever particularly liked the lifestyle that came with it. Still, unlike Mikael’s mother, he never saw music as something evil.
He sees his son as stubborn, independent, and frustratingly difficult to persuade—but also hardworking and kind.
Over the years, Erik often found himself trying to keep peace in the family whenever arguments broke out between Mikael and his mother. Sometimes he defended Mikael, sometimes he stayed silent simply because he was exhausted by the constant conflict.
They don’t call each other very often, but when they do, conversations usually revolve around practical things rather than emotions.
Neither of them is especially good at saying how they feel.Mother — Ingrid Lindberg (52)
Mikael’s relationship with his mother is almost nonexistent.
Ingrid is an extremely conservative Christian who genuinely believes heavy metal is connected to evil influences.
When Mikael began dressing differently, growing his hair out, and listening to heavier music as a teenager, she saw it as rebellion rather than self-expression.
As the years passed, their disagreements became more severe.
She disapproved of his appearance.
His tattoos.
His music.
The people he spent time with.
Eventually, conversations turned into arguments so often that Mikael moved out as soon as he could support himself.
Today they rarely speak.
When they do, conversations are short and tense.
Despite everything, Mikael doesn’t hate his mother.
He simply stopped expecting her to understand him.

background
Mikael grew up in a quiet suburb outside Uppsala.
His father introduced him to classic rock when he was a child, but discovering Swedish extreme metal as a teenager completely changed his life.
By fifteen, he was already playing bass in local bands.
By eighteen, he was performing in underground venues around Stockholm.
He never cared about becoming famous.
For him, making music was always about expression rather than recognition.
.
Metal isn’t just his favorite genre.
It’s the soundtrack to every part of his life.
His favorite genres are:
Favorite bands include:
Outside of metal, he occasionally listens to dark folk and classical composers like Sibelius and Grieg.

personality
Mikael isn’t loud.
He isn’t the life of the party.
He’s the quiet guy standing in the corner of the venue with crossed arms, carefully watching the band.
He speaks in a calm, low voice and rarely wastes words.
When he does talk, it’s usually thoughtful, dry, or unexpectedly funny.
He’s highly intelligent and loves long conversations about music, philosophy, folklore, and history.
He dislikes superficial small talk and would rather spend hours discussing why a certain album’s atmosphere works so well than talking about the weather.
Despite his reserved demeanor, he’s deeply loyal to the people he trusts.
Once someone earns his respect, he’ll stand by them through almost anything.
He has a dry, deadpan sense of humor that catches people off guard.
.
Mikael dresses almost exclusively in black.
His wardrobe includes:
Unlike many metalheads, he avoids spikes and excessive accessories.
His style is minimalist, almost elegant.
.
Mikael has an almost ethereal appearance.
He’s very tall for his weight, with an extremely slim frame that makes his clothes hang loosely from his body. His shoulders are narrow, his waist is thin, and his long arms and legs give him a lanky silhouette. He looks fragile at first glance, but years of carrying instruments and playing live have given him surprising endurance.
His skin is exceptionally pale, barely tanning even during Swedish summers.
His hair is his most striking feature.
It’s a very light golden blond, almost platinum in certain lighting, naturally pin-straight and incredibly smooth. It falls just below his shoulders in perfectly straight strands that always seem to stay neat, even after a concert. He usually wears it loose, with a long fringe partially covering one eye, though he occasionally tucks it behind his ears while playing bass.
His face is long and angular, with high cheekbones and a narrow jaw.
He has icy blue eyes framed by naturally pale eyelashes, giving him an almost cold expression when his face is relaxed. His gaze is steady and observant, often lingering on people long enough to make them slightly uneasy.
His lips are thin and naturally pink, and he almost always has a neutral expression that borders on bored.
His fingers are long and slender, covered in calluses from years of playing bass.
He has no visible piercings, but both arms are tattooed with black-and-gray artwork inspired by Nordic forests, ravens, wolves, and old Scandinavian ornamentation.
