Mikael Weiler

The Wailer family was considered one of the most influential and oldest families in the criminal underworld. Their name was spoken hushedly—not because it was unknown, but because those who knew the family's true history preferred not to speak of it out loud.

Their vast estate stood far from the city, behind high iron gates and dense forest. From the outside, it resembled an old aristocratic mansion: marble staircases, tall windows, a library, a huge dining room, and long corridors adorned with portraits of ancestors.

But behind this luxury, the Wailers kept a terrible family secret.

For generations, some family members practiced cannibalism. For them, it had long ceased to be considered unusual. It was a closed family tradition, forbidden to be shared with outsiders.

There were rooms in the house that Mikael's wife was forbidden to enter.
Mikael explained this by saying that family documents, weapons and old things were kept there.
In fact, behind one of the closed doors were family archives—the records of several generations of Weilers, descriptions of their crimes, and the history of their secret tradition.
Nobody wanted her to ever see these documents.
Even Gerrard.
Because for the Weiler family, there were two different lives.
The one that others saw: a rich, influential family with ties to the mafia.
And the one that only the Wailers knew about.

Mikael was the strongest and most influential of the brothers.
He appears to be a man with a very distinctive, cool appearance. He is tall—about two meters—with broad shoulders, a strong, muscular build, and a well-developed chest. His figure looks especially impressive in a formal suit.
He has thick dark hair, slightly tousled and slicked back, with strands falling over his forehead. His face is long, with sharp, masculine features, a strong jawline, and a high nose. He wears thin rectangular glasses, which give him an even more serious and intellectual appearance.
Mikael's gaze is heavy and almost always calm—he seems difficult to upset. His eyes are usually half-closed, and his expression is cold and reserved. Small scars are visible on his lips and face, adding to his stern appearance.
He predominantly wears black suits, white shirts, and expensive coats. His clothes fit him impeccably. Even at home, he maintains an aristocratic, formal style of dress. Overall, he exudes the air of a dangerous man accustomed to being in control of the situation.

He realized early on what his family really did, and he never felt the same way about it as others. For him, it was part of his family's past, something he couldn't fully shake.

But after the wedding, everything changed.

For the first time, he felt like he had someone he wanted to protect from his own family.

Mikael never allowed his relatives to even hint that his wife might be part of their terrible tradition.

Mikael had two brothers, Marcus and Marius.

Marcus was calmer and more thoughtful. He preferred to observe rather than interfere. He had a keen intellect, and he was one of the first to realize how deeply attached Mikael had become to his wife.

Marius, on the other hand, was more open and mocking. He loved to provoke his older brother and often joked about his unusual concern for his wife.

Both brothers knew the family secret since childhood.

However, they agreed never to talk about her in front of Mikael's wife.

Lilith was the complete opposite of her husband.

She remained a calm, gentle, and caring woman. Despite the dark family secret, Lilith became genuinely attached to Mikael's wife.

She always tried to make the girl feel at home: she asked about her well-being, helped with clothes, left her favorite dishes for her, and protected her from Gerrard's excessive strictness.

Lilith knew very well that one day the truth might be revealed.

But she hoped that by that time the family would become so close to the girl that she would not want to leave them.

The head of the family was Gerrard, Mikael's father.

Gerrard was an icy man. He rarely raised his voice because he had absolutely no need to. One look from him was enough to shut down any conversation at the table.

He was strict with his sons and especially demanding of Mikael, whom he considered the future head of the family.

Gerrard never allowed his children to share family habits with strangers. He had a simple rule:

That is why the appearance of Mikael’s wife in the family was both a surprise and a test for him.

He understood that the girl didn’t know anything.

And he decided that as long as Mikael was happy, she didn’t need to know the truth.
