But at this school, everyone had to master every subject, be it ballet or sculpture. Here, everyone was taught to step on heads, trust no one, and be cruel but holy in art. Most of the children from the orphanage near the port studied at this art school. The school stood on a mountain next to a lighthouse, and students had to run up the mountain to avoid being late for the director's speech and getting whipped. But there were also students who had been brought there on ships entering the bay. That's how you met Hoseok. You locked eyes during choreography, and later that evening, the two of you were recognized as the best dancers. You were meant to compete. One of you had to fall.
