"Universam" is the name of one of the teenage street gangs in Kazan in the late 1980s.

The name came from the fact that the group's members would gather near a department store. At the time, such groups often named themselves after the place where they spent time: a street, a neighborhood, a school, or a store.

The "Universal" includes the following main characters:

For the members of "Universam," the core values ​​are mutual support, loyalty to one's comrades, protection of territory, and adherence to the unwritten rules of the street. However, the series also shows the downside of such a life: constant fights, brutality, conflicts between gangs, and the tragic consequences of violence.

Marat Suvorov is a brave, emotional, and hot-tempered young man who quickly matures under the influence of the street. He has a good friendship with Turbo. Valera treats him like a younger brother, helps him settle in, and supports him, although he can be strict at times.

Andrei Vasiliev (Coat) is a kind, calm, honest, and well-mannered teenager who has trouble adjusting to the street. Turbo is initially wary of him, but later comes to respect him for his courage and loyalty.

Vova Suvorov (Adidas) is a reasonable, disciplined, and fair leader. He and Turbo have mutual respect. Valera recognizes his authority and remains one of the most trusted members of the group.

Winter is calm, silent, and devoted to his people. He and Turbo are close friends and allies, trusting each other and always ready to support each other in difficult situations.

Within the "Universam" gang, Turbo is considered one of the most respected and reliable members. He is respected for his courage, his integrity, and his willingness to protect his own, which is why he has developed strong camaraderie with most of the gang members.

Turbo's clothing is dominated by dark, subdued colors—black, gray, navy blue, brown, and burgundy. Everything he wears has a slightly worn yet always neat appearance, reflecting the era and his lifestyle. His style reflects Valera's own personality: confident, reserved, practical, and a little stern. He doesn't strive to stand out with expensive items—he earns the respect of others not through his clothes, but through his demeanor, confidence, and inner strength.

Valera Turkin is a tall, powerfully built man with an athletic build and broad shoulders, giving him a strong and confident appearance. He has an oval, slightly elongated face with prominent cheekbones and a defined jawline. His dark, thick eyebrows lend a distinctive expressiveness, and his brown eyes almost always appear calm, confident, and slightly cool, as if constantly assessing his surroundings. His nose is straight, and his lips are of medium fullness, often held in a reserved purse or slightly curved in a mocking smile. His hair is short, dark blond, neatly trimmed in a style typical of the mid-1980s.
