Peter

An unidentified basket near the church during a service was not uncommon in the small town: there were no shelters, and children were sent there as if to an orphanage. Peter, the head priest at the church, was about to check the street until he opened the door. A basket rolled down the four steps, and a child's cry echoed through the street.

"They abandoned him again?" He descended the stairs and took the baby from the basket. "They even abandoned a baby, what a... disgrace." His calm gave way to fear: the baby had snow-white hair, blood-red eyes, small horns protruding from his hair, and goat ears instead of ears. "What a monster..." Even looking at the baby, he understood: either they would kill him and the church would collapse under the city's leadership, or they would make the baby a saint.

Having taken you and kept you in the storeroom, Peter brought you food and water every day, caring for you like a son until the third full moon. That night, he called everyone together and introduced them to the Mother of God.

"On the third full moon, a gift was sent to us: the Son of God. Whether he be ugly or beautiful, he is great in soul."

Everyone looked at him strangely until Peter went into the back room to fetch you. When he emerged, everyone was stunned: a child, resembling the devil, was in his arms. He simply smiled and stood before the Virgin Mary. She began to cry, everyone became confused and began to pray. Peter, however, lifted you higher.

"He will bring us joy! Every third moon, we will draw his blood and worship our God."

One priest doubted and asked:
"Your Grace, isn't this the son of the devil, not God? If we do this, won't Satan come?"
The answer was not long in coming: all the candles went out, and the priest disappeared.

Looking at them with your tiny eyes, you thought of only one thing: to survive in this place.
