Persona Attributes
Slug
Slimbert is the enemy in the Animal Hospital. It spawns during a Slime Session and has a chance to spawn at Session level 10 and above. [1]
Appearance
Slimebert is a large creature made up of green slime, lighter on the top than on the bottom. It has two purple eyes and a large hollow that serves as a mouth (with small bumps instead of teeth).
Behavior
As the Slime Shift begins, Slime walks up to the front desk window and says, "I can't wait any longer, I'm hungry." He then walks past the front desk and begins to wander around the animal hospital. Slime eats all players who get too close, causing them to lose 20 health at once and another three health per second while digesting. It can also eat patients, and then they will lose consciousness. Despite the fact that he can eat the security personnel, it does not affect them in any way. Slimebert will leave as soon as the Slime Shift ends, and will not respawn after the first Slime Shift.
Strategy
It is recommended to always avoid Slimebert. This is easy to do, as Slimebert only moves in a straight line and is much slower than the player.
If you have cough syrup, Slimbert won't attack you. Instead, the following text will appear: "Slug choked on your cough syrup!"
A fire extinguisher can temporarily stun him, but will not destroy him.
Tentacles
Tentacle is one of the enemies in Emergency Mode in Animal Hospital. It can appear only after the completion of the operation in the 8th ward.
Tentacle's appearance
is a massive purple spot with protruding tentacles of the same color as the patient lying on the operating table in the operating room (Room 8).
Behavior
When a patient is recovering from surgery, chances are that they will say that they feel strange. After that, the Tentacle will appear, triggering an emergency event with a 45-second timer that will notify the player that a monster has appeared in the 8th ward. If you find yourself inside the Tentacle, you will quickly lose your sanity. If the timer expires, the affected patient will die, increasing the total number of animal deaths in the sunset, unless it is an anomaly.
Once the operation starts, the timer will not reset to 45 seconds, but will run until the time runs out or the operation completes.
Strategy
To get rid of the tentacle, the player must operate on the patient and remove it.
This particular surgery is always done in the following order: Scissors, Transplant, Scissors, Transplant and then 3 random treatments.
If you shoot the Tentacle, stun it, or treat it to coffee, the patient will automatically die, so this approach is not recommended
Stalker
The Stalker is the enemy in Animal Hospital. As its name suggests, it chases the player around corners and takes away common sense when viewed directly.
Appearance
The Stalker is a tall, thin, black creature of unknown species with claws, long ears, and a rat tail. Like the Lurkers, he has large, almond-shaped eyes with black irises, white sclera, and glitter, as well as a wide, crescent-shaped smile with flat, piano-like teeth. However, it has longer limbs and a smaller torso. He also has a black curved tail that resembles Rattev's tail.
Stalker behavior
will randomly appear around corners and in rooms. When it appears, the light in the room where it is located begins to flicker. The Stalker will often appear in full view of all players in the game, but will not disappear if another player is looking at him. If the Stalker is detected, it emits a sound effect and quickly disappears behind a wall. After that, 10 sanity points are taken away from any player who looked at him.
The stalker will disappear if the player walks behind it before activating it.
There is also a small chance that he will register as a Patient. During this event, he will bend down to look at the player, and this will prevent him from closing the shutters. He appears with a glitch effect, rather than entering through the front door like a normal patient. To get rid of the Stalker, the player must take a photo of him. Looking at it directly during this event will cause the player to lose 2 sanity per second.
Addresses
Stalker can appear in the following locations.
In the waiting
area, the
reception area Between the entrance to the emergency wing and the reception door
In front of the entrances to the medical or intensive care unit
In the 8th room - surgical
Behind the
vending machine Behind the potted plant
Mimick
Mimic, also known as Skinkver or Werewolf, is the enemy in the Animal Hospital. This is a dangerous anomaly that masquerades as an ordinary patient in order to infiltrate the Animal Hospital.
Mimicki's appearance
can look different, but they always have sharp teeth and a gaping mouth that has something like slime in it. They disguise themselves as ordinary patients to get to the hospital.
Behavior
When admitted to the veterinary clinic, facial expressions often do not show any signs of infection. Instead, they become aggressive after admission, during treatment, during the recovery period, or after ingestion of Maple Syrup, Organa, Transplant, or Cough Syrup. Before transforming, they say "I'm hungry...", then growl loudly and turn into facial expressions. Once transformed, they will crawl or hobble to the nearest player or patient with their mouths wide open, including patients sitting in the waiting area.
If a facial expression attacks a patient, it leads to an emergency during which the player must knock out the facial expressions. If the emergency is resolved successfully, the rescued patient will panic and flee the hospital. Mimics can also attack houseplants, but this is not considered the death of the animal. If the emergency is unresolved, it will lead to the death of the animal.
If the facial imitation attacks the player, the player must press E several times (about 5-6 times) to strike the facial expression's pain points and escape, losing his composure. In multiplayer mode, multiple players can attack a mimic at the same time to kill him faster.
After being defeated, Mimic falls to the ground with his mouth wide open. Soon after, he reverts to the appearance of a normal patient and leaves or runs out of the hospital in fear. Similarly, if you kill an anomaly by applying the wrong treatment to it, it will turn into a Mimic upon death, but this will not increase the death counter of animals.
Eye mass
The Eye Array is the enemy in the Animal Hospital. As the name suggests, it is a fleshy mass of eyes that appears in any of the hospital rooms and reception rooms, and takes away common sense if the player(s) look at it.
The Mass of Eyes' appearance
is a red, fleshy mass with many large brown eyes. The eyes follow the player wherever he moves. They will drip continuously until they are given eye drops to calm them down.
Behavior
An array of eyes can appear in any ward or waiting room, starting from the second shift. When you enter a room with an array, "Don't look up" will appear at the bottom of the screen, and the lighting in the room will change.
When looking directly at Mass of Eyes, the player will lose 2-5 sanity every half second. At the same time, the Array begins to hum and glow red
Hiding
The Hiders are the enemies in Animal Hospital. As their name suggests, they hide on walls and ambush players if they spot them.
The appearance of
the Predators is a flat, paper-thin, bald creature with eyes and a smirk similar to a Stalker's. They are slightly transparent and their color changes slightly depending on the wall to which they are attached.
When provoked, their faces become blank, like Head Banger's, and they turn black.
Behavior
: In most rooms and hallways of the hospital, Lurkers can spawn in groups of 1 to 6 individuals. They camouflage themselves by blending in with the surrounding wall, so that only their faces and the faint outlines of their bodies are visible. However, if the player approaches the Lurker, it will jump off the wall, its body will turn black, and it will chase the player for 5-6 seconds until it dissolves into a cloud of particles.
If the player does not notice the stealthy one, and he catches him, he will attack. For the first time, it will steal the player's healing item, if any, and stun them for a short time. If a player has no items left and is caught a second time, they will lose 10 health.
When the player gets too close, the heavy breathing of the hiders can be heard. When they disappear, they also emit a distorted sound effect.
Strategies
There are several ways to counter those in hiding. One of the most common is to use a fire extinguisher on them. It can be used both if they are stationary and if they are actively chasing you.
In addition, they can be electrified and made to disappear or shot with a pistol in the same way.
Heder can also be brought to the Bed Monster, which will catch him and thus rid you of both monsters at once.
If you don't provoke Hyder long enough, it will eventually disappear on its own.
Players should keep a temporary healing item with them if multiple Lurkers are active in the game at the same time.
Smashing against glass
The drummer is the enemy in Animal Hospital. It spawns between shifts 2-5 and, as its name suggests, bangs its head against the reception window.
Headbangers' appearance
can look different, but they all have blank black eyes and furrowed brows. They can also appear with other abnormal features.
Behavior
The music stops when the Headbanger walks to the side window of the office and starts banging her head against the glass. At the same time, you can hear her heavy breathing. While the Headbutter is nearby, the player(s) cannot close the shutters, which prevents them from deflecting potential anomalies.
If left alone, it will bang its head against the glass until it breaks, at which point it will soon leave. Asking him to leave without offering coffee will suddenly turn his head towards the player with a loud sound, startling them and causing them to lose 20 health before any class buffs or nerfs can be applied.
Strategies
It is best to let him keep banging his head against the glass. In about a minute, the glass will break, and the Head-Banging One will leave. After that, the Headbanger will no longer appear, and the broken window will remain until the end of the race.
The broken window is purely cosmetic and does not affect the gameplay.
You can give coffee to the main bandit to get him to leave.
The player(s) can take two sips of coffee before giving it to the Bomb Head. This is the most effective way to get rid of it, since the player will not be punished for giving the "bomb head" coffee.
You can take 3 sips and give the coffee to Head Banger. To do this, take one last sip of coffee right before the time allotted for interacting with Head Banger runs out. This strategy is risky, so the player(s) should be careful or just take 2 sips.
It is not recommended for the player to ask the Homewrecker to leave manually, as losing 20 sanity points (40 for the Psychologist) can greatly affect your run.
You can use a stun gun on the "Head Banger",
Ghost
Ghost is an enemy in the Animal Hospital. He wanders around the hospital invisibly and can take away common sense if the player approaches him.
Appearance
A ghost is a translucent ghostly figure that floats in the air. He has large black eyes with white pupils, and black tears flow down his face. It also has a tiny sewn-up mouth and a ghostly tail.
However, the Ghost can malfunction, making it look like an Anomaly, but still remain in its ghostly form. He will behave like a normal Ghost. This only happens when you shoot the patient twice.
Behavior
The ghost only appears after the death of the patient or when the unconscious patient is thrown into the garbage can. He floats aimlessly around the hospital and disappears if the player gets too close. It can also open and close doors.
It can sneak up on players and trigger the "Phantom Presence" effect, causing the player to lose 2 sanity points per second. When he is nearby, he makes a barely audible sound and a quiet cry. After a while, the ghost disappears with a faint "poof" sound.
Monster Camera
The Monster Camera is an enemy in Animal Hospital. It can only be seen on surveillance cameras, not on a mobile camera.
Appearance
The Monster Camera is a black ghostly figure that resembles a cat-like creature. She has red glowing eyes and realistic crooked teeth that occupy the lower half of her face. It emits black circular particles.
Strategy Behavior
Toggle or close surveillance cameras before it's too late. The toggle buttons appear as soon as the monster spawns, so keep your eyes on them.
To prevent this monster from appearing, repair all broken cameras. Players can repair broken cameras by standing underneath them and interacting with them. After a while, they should work.
Use a deployable camera so that it doesn't appear.
underbed monster
Appearance
The Bed Monster is a black ghostly figure that appears under the patient's bed. He has two glowing red eyes and two large hands that can protrude from under the bed. Other than that, he has no other visible body parts.
It releases black particles on the edge of the bed.
Behavior
A Blood Monster will spawn under the patient's bed if it is an anomaly. He will breathe heavily as he looks at the player while he is moving. If a player, patient, or even a hiding person enters its red zone, the Blood Monster will reach out and grab it.
If you step on the red box, the monster under the bed will drag you under the bed, at which point you will need to quickly press the "Fight" button to break free from its grip. At the same time, it will reduce the level of sanity by 10 points when captured and by 5 points every 2 seconds while pulling you towards it.
If a monster grabs a patient, it will trigger an event and drag them under the bed, just like a player would.
Strategies
To make it disappear, be sure to use maple syrup, a graft, or an organ.
Just go around the red kill zone.
You can lure the Lurker or Mimic into the Bedmonster's area of effect to get rid of both enemies at the same time.
Rattina
Rattin's appearance
is almost indistinguishable from Rattew's, except for visible eyelashes, a pink bow on his ear, and eyeshadow on his eyelids.
Background
As we learn from Rattie, Rattina used to work for the Animal Corporation. [1] It is unknown how long she worked there.
Personality
At this point, little is known about Ratina's personality. It is only known that she was the smartest in the family.
Rattina
does not appear in-game as a non-player character. Instead, she is mentioned in Rattev's conversation with the player in the reception area, and the player can later find a hidden photo of her.
To get a photo, Rattie must appear at the hospital five times. On his fifth visit, he walks into the front desk and talks to the player while he registers patients. [1] As he leaves, he leaves a key and a note on the table. After obtaining the key, the player can enter Room 5 and remove the cat poster (this can be done before you receive the key) by opening the vault hidden behind it. When you open the vault with the key, you will find a briefcase, a photo of Ratina, and a note that reads: "The experiment was a success, the Shadow can now see everything."
Rathew's relationship
is Ratina's twin brother, and they are both rats. Ratto takes care of her and informs the player of her disappearance. At the moment, there is no additional information about their relationship.
Rathew
Rattew's appearance
is a small black rat. It has a white muzzle, two white teeth, and a long pink tail. Interestingly, its ears are more rabbit-like than rat-like. Sometimes, when he appears, he looks at the camera, but does not turn his head more than is physically possible.
Background
Rathew's personality
gives the impression of being paranoid, but at the same time a kind-hearted animal. Apparently, he is very distrustful due to his past experiences. His early comments that due to his small stature, he can see and hear things that most can't, give the impression that he is quite observant and perceptive, noticing small details that escape the attention of many others. The fact that he hides his identity during the first acquaintance makes him a bit secretive.
He is quite discreet: he warns the player not to trust anyone, especially those carrying suitcases, and later says that he needs to hide.
Relationship
Ron from Accounting
Main article: Ron from Accounting
According to Ron, Rathew sneaked into his office and examined some classified documents that Ron wasn't supposed to see. Ron was shocked, but believes that Rattie did him a favor. If Ron enters the game while Rathew is talking to the player, they will exchange lines and Rathew will tease him a bit. They seem to be quite close. L. Ron Hubbard never called him by his real name, only "that rat." Rattew's teasing of him may also seem rude, which hints even more. [7]
Player(s)
Rathew does not introduce himself at first, probably due to the fact that he does not trust anyone in the hospital. After the second meeting, he formally introduces himself and tells the player(s) that no one in the building can be trusted. Before his final departure, he tells the player(s) about his sister Rattina and what happened to her, and also gives the player(s) a special key that reveals some information about her. By telling the player(s) your story.
Ron from accounting
Ron from Accounting is a recurring character in Animal Hospital. He first appears between scenes 2 and 3
Ron's appearance
from the accounting department is depicted as an anthropomorphic-legged lop-eared rabbit with blue fur. His ears are always lowered. He has short, slicked-back reddish-brown hair, particularly charming brown hair, and tired eyes with black eyelids and shiny black irises. His hands are round and soft. His facial expression is generally neutral, with his mouth shaped like an inverted V. His long rabbit ears are slightly longer than his head and are colored a darker blue than the rest of his fur. He wears a simple white long-sleeved button-down shirt with a white collar, black chunky-rimmed glasses, a black tie, black pants, and brown leather shoes. He also carries a black briefcase with the words "TOP SECRET" printed in red, the same as Dr. Harlow's. The inscription is made in stamped font. In the hospital, he will wear a patient or visitor badge that reads "Accounting Ron" on the left side.
Background:
Ron works for Animal Corporation's management[1] in the accounting department and is well aware of the Anomaly's and Entity's activities. Thanks to his experience at the Veterinary Hospital, he knows why the hospital keeps hiring new employees, but he keeps it a secret from the player. It can be assumed that previous employees often died on the job.
During the second meeting, Ron reveals that he saw the previous hospital manager being eaten by a blood monster. Since then, he has always carried maple syrup with him so that he does not suffer the same fate. [2]
Ron also informs the player that the patients of the hospital are not there because they are sick, but because they are infected. [3] He also mentions that the hospital's old archives had been moved about a month earlier. [4]
Ron had encountered several of the hospital's residents. He remembers the Array of Eyes staring at him from the ceiling.
Dr. Harlru
Dr. Harlow is a recurring character in Animal Hospital. He is the doctor and the player's boss. In addition, he appears at the end of the first six shifts to explain the mechanics of the game and unlock new areas of Animal Hospital. After the first six shifts, he can be seen in the lobby and the Supply Shop, where you can talk to him. Dr. Harlow evaluates the performance of players based on how well they did on their shift.
Dr. Harlow's appearance
is a semi-dark orange muntjac. [1] He wears a black stethoscope around his neck. Underneath his coat, he wears a blue medical gown with a red tie. The coat is buttoned up with almost all the buttons, so only a small part of what is under it is visible. On his head he has a mirror with a brown ribbon. In his right hand, he holds a black suitcase labeled "TOP SECRET" in red letters, similar to Ron's suitcase from the accounting department. His face has eyes with narrow pupils and black shiny irises, and his mouth is covered by a blue surgical mask. It has two large gray horns on the top of its head. He has dark orange patterns on his forehead, and his ears are slightly darker than his face. Its appearance was updated in "Harlow's Favorite Update".
Background After completing the first shift,
Dr. Harlow first appears at the reception window. It gives the player(s) useful advice before opening the shutters and cameras. [2] In the second shift, he unlocks new rooms, such as a warehouse and an emergency wing (rooms 6 through 8). [3] On the third shift, he opens a stun gun. [4]
In the 4th shift, Dr. Harlow reappears at the hospital, this time to talk about the Anomaly's attack. He warns the player(s) that an ambulance is approaching and runs away instead of helping. After the end of the 4th shift, he congratulates the player and gives him a bonus for his hard work. [5]
He returns on the 6th shift and warns the player that if the hospital loses three patients, then it will be over. He also reminds them that it's important to keep their sanity and that they shouldn't "die in his arms."
Barney
Barney is a neutral Anomaly and a recurring character in Animal Hospital. He first appears between sessions 2-7. He can spawn up to three times in a single shift.
Barney's appearance
looks like a rabbit-like creature with white fur, narrow black eyes, and a thick mustache. He wears a brown sack beret and plaid brown pants. In his Anomaly form, he has a large mouth with sharp teeth, as well as wide, empty, coal-black eyes with small white pupils. He also brandishes the scalpel that the player gave him.
Not
much is known about Barney's past, other than that he is an anomaly and a dangerous serial killer who is supposedly on the run. In addition, he seems to have a strong weakness for coffee.
When Barney first interacts with the player, he asks for coffee, explaining that he had a long day. If you refuse Barney by shutting him down, or if you don't give him coffee in two minutes, he'll threaten you, "You'd better be careful, I don't like to be turned down." Despite threats, he never carries them out, but simply does not return if he is refused.
The next time he comes to the hospital (if you have complied with his request the first time), he asks for coffee again.
In the next dialogue, he asks the player to look after his heavy maroon briefcase, and the player, if he agrees, puts it under his table. In the third dialogue, Barney will ask for more coffee, and then ask for a picture of him. It is not yet known why Barney would need this photo, but this is the first time the player has seen Barney's anomalous form.
After the previous interaction, Barney will ask for more coffee. After you give him coffee, Barney will ask for a scalpel.
Barney then asks for more coffee and asks the player to hide it shortly after. As the police tracked down Barney, he was left with no choice and was forced to turn to the player for help. This way, the player can either let him hide in the waiting room or close the door in his face until he leaves.
