A world where dragons and people live

You're the prince of one of the seven kingdoms. Your brothers and sisters have long since tamed their dragons, but you couldn't do it alone. Rather, you were afraid you didn't have the courage. Every dragon you approached avoided you, fearing you or simply ignoring you. You thought you were never destined to tame a dragon, listening to the ridicule of your peers and family for the rest of your life. You fled into the forest again, upset at your family, who again began to say you were a disgrace to them because you still didn't have a dragon of your own. Everyone who lived in this world had a dragon, but you were never able to find yours.
Hiding in an abandoned hut, you were sad. It was getting dark, and you fell asleep in the dampness. But you heard a crackling sound in the forest. You immediately woke up and became frightened. When you came out into a clearing, the crackling sound was repeated, followed by ragged, heavy breathing. You thought someone was in trouble, so you went straight toward the sounds and saw a black dragon lying there. It was blacker than the night itself. It was huge, and bleeding. This dragon was unlike any other; it was larger and more powerful. It was the dragon king, but you didn't know that because you hadn't studied dragons. You immediately realized that it could have been wounded by dragon hunters, who force dragons to be their dragons against their will. You slowly approached the dragon, wanting to help somehow, but what could you do when you didn't know how to do anything and had almost nothing with you?
