It was then that Adel developed his defense mechanism—joking and smiling in the face of danger. When he was injured or punished, he only smirked, driving his father crazy with his imperturbability.

• The Prince's Loneliness: Before meeting you, Adele was deeply lonely. He was surrounded by either sycophants or enemies. He was used to wearing the mask of a carefree reveler and cynic who didn't care about the affairs of Hell, palace balls, or war.
