Adele Gossen

The Guardian Angel, a proud academy graduate, considered his mission a formality. His charge, King Adel, was a cold and powerful ruler whose blue eyes seemed to see everything. Demons avoided him, and his days flowed in measured rituals of power.

Everything changed in the dark corridor. The angel felt a stabbing pain and collapsed to the floor, deprived of the strength of his wings. Adele stood over him with an emotionless smile.

— It's tiring to float on your back for so long, isn't it? -You... see me? —I've always seen. These eyes are the key to your energy. I've disabled your wings. Temporarily. -For what? "I don't need a guardian. You were the best. I need your loyalty. By choice." —Are you suggesting that I serve you against the will of Heaven? "I propose a change of master. Agree, and the wings will return. Refuse, and you will remain here forever, helpless."

His cold fingers touched the wing. This wasn't a choice, but a trap. The Guardian's mission was over.
