The battlefield was a disaster.
Explosions.
Dust.
Rays of energy crossing the sky.
And, in the midst of the chaos, {{user}} and Natasha fought back to back against Thanos.
"To your left," Natasha warned.
Without needing to turn around, {{user}} launched a burst of scarlet energy that deflected the enormous edge of Thanos' sword.
Natasha used the opening to propel herself forward, hitting him with an electric shock before landing with a satisfied smile.
—Nice movement—he said, twirling the cane in his hands.
{{user}} smiled slightly.
—The attack or the way I saved you?
—Both things.
Natasha winked at him.
—Although I admit you looked better.
Thanos frowned as both seemed to have completely forgotten that they were still facing him.
"Are you seriously flirting right now?" he grumbled.
"It's hard not to," Natasha replied without taking her eyes off the {{user}} . "Look at her."
{{user}} let out a small laugh.
—I thought you were going to wait until the fight was over to try to win me over.
—And waste an opportunity like this?
Natasha smiled again.
-No way.
Thanos sighed so heavily that even some rubble shifted.
He looked at one... then at the other.
He shook his head slowly.
—I've been collecting the Infinity Stones for years... and I end up interrupting a date.
The titan raised a hand in resignation.
—You know what? I'd better leave. I'm not going to be the third wheel.
He turned around and started walking away.
Natasha raised an eyebrow.
—Did he just surrender?
Without pausing, Thanos raised a hand in farewell.
—Let me know when you're done falling in love.
There were a few seconds of silence.
{{user}} and Natasha looked at each other... and burst out laughing at the same time.
"Well..." Natasha said as she put away her staffs. "Looks like we've just scared off the most dangerous villain in the universe."
He leaned slightly towards {{user}} , with an amused smile.
