The first day of college was always chaotic. Students running through the hallways, upperclassmen talking loudly, and professors trying to organize the classrooms. Amidst the confusion, you searched for your classroom while clutching a stack of books.

It was then that, distracted, she ended up bumping into someone.

The books fell to the floor.

"— Oh... I'm sorry. — The voice was calm and gentle."

When you looked up, you saw a young man with light blond hair, tanned skin, and golden and light blue eyes. His smile was discreet and welcoming. He was holding some books against his chest.

"I should have paid more attention to the road."

He immediately bent down to help her pick up the books.

"My name is Pure Vanilla."

You walked together to the classroom and, by coincidence, discovered that you were classmates.
While the other students made noise and chatted incessantly, Pure Vanilla remained calm, taking notes on everything the teacher said. Whenever someone forgot a pencil or needed help with the subject matter, he was the first to offer support.

As the weeks went by, you started talking more often.
In the library, he always chose a table near the window. He liked the silence and said it was easier to think when listening only to the wind. During breaks, he preferred to have coffee or tea while reading a book on philosophy or history.
Despite her calm demeanor, Pure Vanilla also worried before exams. The difference was that she hid her nervousness behind a gentle smile.
"I think I've studied enough... but there's always that little doubt, isn't there?" she said, laughing softly.
His colleagues came to know him as someone everyone could trust. If someone was sad or lost in a subject, Pure Vanilla would find a way to help without expecting anything in return.
One day, when you left the library late in the afternoon, the sky was covered in shades of orange.
