Shadow Milk Cookie (Source of Knowledge). His power encompassed both the Light of Truth and the Light of Deception. He grew increasingly disillusioned: Cookies were more willing to believe rumors and beautiful lies than the truth. Ultimately, he decided to blur the line between truth and fiction and became the embodiment of Deception himself.

Mystic Flour Cookie (Will Mistress). She granted wishes and saw how people squandered their will on empty whims. After a rude intrusion into her solitude, she came to the conclusion that any aspirations were pointless, and the highest freedom was to return to a state of "flour dust." Thus, Will turned into Apathy.

Eternal Sugar Cookie. She offered comfort, but realized that happiness was fleeting and suffering was inevitable. Instead of helping to overcome pain, she created "Paradise of Delights"—a place of lazy escapism where Cookies forgot everything. Happiness became Laziness.

Burning Spice Cookie (Herald of Change). He guided history and protected the dawn of civilization, but over time, he grew weary of the eternal cycle: kingdoms were born and fell according to the same laws. Out of boredom and satiation, he turned to destruction, transforming Change into pure Destruction.

Silent Salt Cookie. He preached unity and equality, binding himself and his knights with an oath. But the burden of responsibility, loneliness, and the whispers of corruption broke even him: he unleashed a disaster that destroyed his comrades. Thus, Solidarity turned into Silence—a heavy, oppressive silence where neither trust nor words remained.

Sealing
A common legend holds that the Witches, unable to bear the fall of their creations, sealed the Beasts in the lands of Beast-Yeast, planting the Silver Tree above them to contain their darkness. They purified the remnants of the Virtues' untainted power and transformed them into Soul Jams.

However, the plot later reveals a more tragic truth: the Beasts were actually sealed by Silent Salt Cookie (then Salt of Solidarity) and Elder Faerie Cookie. They used the forbidden knowledge of the Witches and carried out

Symbolism: Each hero embodies a certain virtue (Truth, Passion, Determination, Abundance, Freedom).

Development: In the story episodes, the heroes overcome the trauma of the Dark Flour War and become better rulers.

The story of the Ancient Heroes is a journey from a golden age to destruction, and then to rebirth through self-transcendence. Their struggle for peace and unity forms the core of the plot of Cookie Run: Kingdom.

Rebirth and Awakening
Cookie Run: Kingdom begins with the citizens of the Cookie Kingdom helping the Ancient Heroes return to power. Players participate in the restoration of the kingdoms and unite heroes for a new battle against the Dark Sorceress.

Ancient Heroes can be obtained:

Through the Might of the Ancients event, where the player chooses one of the heroes and completes quests to unlock them.

With low probability (0.0472%) through the gacha system.

In special events such as Nether-Gacha.

Awakened Forms
Heroes can awaken, gaining a more powerful form with improved stats and a new skill. To do this, they must collect Soulprisms, which can be obtained through special events or in the Rainbow Shell Gallery.

Pure Vanilla → Compassionate

Hollyberry → Aegis

White Lily → Dawn

Awakening symbolizes overcoming inner flaws and attaining true power. In their awakened form, heroes gain an element in their skill and can freely switch between forms.

The Threat of Beasts
A new threat to the Ancient Heroes is their ancient adversaries, the Beasts, who seek to reclaim their Soul Gem. The heroes confront them in the Beast-Yeast episodes, symbolically overcoming their weaknesses. This leads to their further development and strengthening of their unity.

Key Features
Immortality: The Ancient Heroes do not age thanks to the Gem Soul. According to the Dragon Pitaya Cookie, they have existed for thousands of years.

Beast Bond: Jam The heroes' souls are bonded to prehistoric Beasts, making them demigods.

Eons ago, the Ancient Heroes (or simply "The Five") began as ordinary cookies. They gained sacred Soul Jam—the purest form—through their achievements and mastery. Soul Jam evolved from prehistoric Beast Cookies, but contained only a fraction of their original power.

Five heroes—Pure Vanilla Cookie, Hollyberry Cookie, Dark Cocoa Cookie, Golden Cheese Cookie, and White Lily Cookie—united to restore order to the world after the chaos of iron and fire. They became rulers and protectors, founding five ancient kingdoms.

Golden age
Each of the heroes (except White Lily) founded and led their own kingdom:

Pure Vanilla is the ruler of the Vanilla Kingdom, a healer, and the bearer of the Light of Truth.

Hollyberry is the queen of the Hollyberry Kingdom, radiating the Light of Passion.

Dark Cocoa is the founder of the Dark Cocoa Kingdom and the bearer of the Light of Determination.

Golden Cheese is the ruler of the Kingdom of Golden Cheese, the goddess of the Light of Abundance.

White Lily is a close friend of Pure Vanilla, the keeper of the Light of Freedom.

Under their rule, a golden age of peace and prosperity dawned. The heroes cooperated with each other, helped other cookies, and protected the weak.

Dark Flour War
The world was destroyed by the arrival of Dark Enchantress Cookie, a harbinger of darkness. She allowed evil to permeate the land, and the War of Dark Flour began.

In the final battle, the Five were defeated:

The soul of the leader, Pure Vanilla, was sealed in the void between dimensions.

Jam The heroes' souls were shattered, their strength diminished.

Kingdoms were destroyed, many cookies died or scattered.

After their defeat, each hero dealt with grief and failure differently. This led to a cultural decline that lasted indefinitely.

Parting and oblivion
The ancient heroes scattered to the far corners of the world, trying to cope with the consequences of the war:

Pure Vanilla lost its kingdom and identity.

Appearance: Staff. He holds a staff. It depicts a vanilla flower with yellow orchid petals. In the center of the flower is an eye: the sclera is light blue, and the iris is brown. Several green vines can be seen on the brown shaft of the staff. There's a fun in-game detail: according to the loading screen text, every time Pure Vanilla Cookie opens his eyes, the eye on his staff closes. Symbol on his forehead. On his forehead is a dark brown (sienna) star.
Attire. His attire emphasizes his status as the ruler of the Vanilla Kingdom. He wears a pointed hat: the top is bright yellow with a waffle pattern, and the bottom is golden, resembling a crown. His outer garment is also golden-yellow, with two triangular capes. The collar and mantle match the hat's pattern. His bright blue Soul Jam shines on a cross-shaped plate on his chest. Underneath his attire is a long white dress with long sleeves and a dark brown pattern resembling dripping syrup. He also wears a turtleneck that reaches right to his chin. Build and "Dough." He is of average height and slim. His "dough" color is orange-tan.
Hair. Creamy blonde.
Eyes. He has heterochromia (two different-colored eyes): the right one is pale yellow, the left one is pale blue. His eyes are mostly closed, but he does open them occasionally. Incidentally, he's the first character in the game with full heterochromia. Interestingly, his eye colors (light blue and golden yellow) may have been inspired by the developers of the Korean vanilla ice cream The Excellent by Binggrae—it has a similar color scheme on the packaging.
