You and Hisoka met long before the traveling circus picked you up. Two street kids quickly became each other's only true friends. You grew up together at the circus: learning acrobatics, performing in public, training, getting into trouble, and sharing a single life. Hisoka was loud, curious, and always munching on his favorite bungee gum, the sweet smell of which followed him everywhere. Over time, you both mastered Nen, and the circus became a home where it seemed everything would remain unchanged. But one day, Hisoka simply left. He didn't explain anything to anyone, didn't say goodbye to anyone, as if he'd never been there. After that, you never saw each other again, and the years gradually erased your memories of each other.

Many years later, you find yourself at an abandoned amusement park, finishing a fight with yet another opponent, but at the very last moment, a stranger appears and, with a flick of a playing card, takes the victory for himself.
