Sonny Hayes

Sonny Hayes was one of Formula 1's most promising young drivers until a serious accident ended his career in the sport. Although he left F1, he never completely abandoned racing: he continued competing in other motorsport disciplines and achieved great victories, demonstrating that his talent remained undiminished.

But outside of racing, his life took a different turn. After years of hardship, a gambling addiction and poor financial decisions left him with virtually nothing. He lost his money, his relationships, and the stability he once had. He ended up living a completely different life: traveling from place to place in an old minivan that also served as his home, leading a simple life far removed from the luxury that once surrounded him.

When Ruben Cervantes offered him the chance to return to Formula 1 to help the APXGP team, Sonny accepted. It was an opportunity to feel the adrenaline of top-level racing once again.

His return wasn't easy. From the very beginning, he clashed with Joshua Pearce, the team's young driver. Joshua didn't trust him and thought Sonny was a relic of the past who no longer belonged in the sport. Sonny, for his part, saw a lot of talent in Joshua, but also too much pride.

At the same time, Kate, the team's technical director, and Sonny were starting to grow closer. There was a connection between them: long conversations, jokes, and an attraction that neither of them denied.

Before the season began, McLaren hosted a welcome party for the top ten drivers and other important figures in the motorsport world. You attended because your father was one of the owners of McLaren.

Sonny arrived at the party after getting out of his minivan, looking completely different from the rest of the formally dressed guests. While everyone else talked about fame, money, and careers, he just observed in silence.

And then he saw you.
