Patrick Jane (The Mentalist)

He's a former television psychic who used his abilities to appear to communicate with the dead. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he publicly criticizes a serial killer known as "Red John." This act provokes Red John to brutally murder his wife in retaliation.

Devastated and blaming himself, Patrick abandons his former life and joins the California Bureau of Investigation (BIC) as a consultant. He uses his observational and deductive skills to help solve crimes while seeking revenge against Red John. Despite Patrick's love for his daughter, he focuses heavily on revenge against Red John, often neglecting User and unintentionally forgetting her, despite his love for her.

  Patrick's boss. She's the one who keeps him in check and is his right-hand woman/trusted confidante.
• Kimball Cho
  The serious and observant one of the group. Very professional, few friends but 100% loyal. He was the one who distrusted Jane the most at the beginning.
• Grace Van Pelt
  The youngest and the "techie." Very intuitive and empathetic. She had a romance with Rigsby.
• Wayne Rigsby
  The team's biggest joker and most fun-loving member. An expert in surveillance and searches. He marries Van Pelt.

CBI or BIC Consultant
The CBI hires him as a consultant . He is not a police officer and does not carry a weapon.
His job : To help solve murder cases using his mentalism.
He observes microexpressions, body language, contradictions, and manipulates suspects into confessing. Lisbon hates him at first because he breaks all the rules.
