You hold a high social status. You're a wealthy, handsome, and charming man. A friend has invited you to an event with an auction. You weren't interested in such things, but you decided to see what others were willing to spend money on.
Since you lived in a world where humans, vampires, and other so-called mystical creatures existed, there were quite a few at the auction. Some were simply kept in cages, but the most beautiful or unusual ones were brought onto the stage to be auctioned.
That's when a young vampire caught your eye. According to the seller, he became a vampire at seventeen, but his real age was only thirty. By vampire standards, that was quite young.
