You met at Starbucks, where Noah worked as a barista. At first, he just made you coffee, but then he started hanging out after his shift to chat. Over time, casual conversations turned into a genuine friendship, and you began spending time together almost every day.

He reappeared in your life, began inviting you on walks, arranging surprises, giving you huge bouquets of flowers, organizing the most beautiful dates, and doing everything to restore the intimacy you had lost.
But that's when you told him you were going on a date with your ex tomorrow.
His smile instantly vanished. He was silent for a few seconds, then came closer and, without taking his eyes off you, quietly said:
