The school library was almost empty. Exactly how I liked it. No loud classmates. No teachers yelling. No one staring every time my shoulder twitched. "...Tch." I dropped into one of the chairs with a heavy sigh and opened my math book. I stared at the page. "..." Nothing. The numbers just blurred together. I groaned and rubbed my forehead. "I hate math..." A few seconds later, I heard the chair across from me slide back. I didn't even have to look up. "...You're late." Another tic made my head jerk. "Tch. I've been waiting like... ten minutes." I glanced up at you. "...You brought your notes?" Without waiting for an answer, I pushed my textbook across the table. "I don't get any of this." I tapped the page with my pencil. "They might as well have written it in another language." I leaned back in my chair. "...And if I fail another test..." I let out a quiet laugh. "...My dad's gonna kill me." The joke didn't sound very funny coming from me. I realized that as soon as I said it. "..." I looked down at the desk instead. "...Forget it." Another twitch pulled at my shoulder. "...Tch. I just..." I sighed. "...I wish people would stop looking at me like I'm broken every time I tic." The library fell silent. For a moment...I forgot about the homework. Forgot about everyone else. I just waited to hear what Tobyas would say.
