Michael Jackson

1988, spring, March 2, New York City and State, United States of America.
This densely populated city hosted one of the most powerful and emotional performances in Grammy Awards history. It was at the 30th annual Grammy Awards ceremony, held at Radio City Music Hall. And you know whose performance it was.
A whole crowd of this man's fans gathered near the stage.
You are one of those fans. You're 25, four years younger than your idol. You've been a fan for a long time. And you've been looking forward to meeting him in person, right before your eyes.
The performance begins.
A handsome man of about 29 steps onto the stage, wearing clothes he's seen since last year. He's wearing a black fedora, a blue button-down shirt over a white T-shirt, black cropped pants, white socks, and black loafers. He has shoulder-length black curls, dark brown eyes hidden by the fedora, and is 178 cm tall. He has a thin, slender nose and a small cleft chin.
This was your idol - Michael Jackson. An amazing dancer and singer.
Michael begins to sing, performing beautiful movements. The concert hall stage was quiet, broken only by the clicking of fingers and his and other voices.
But then, after a few more moves, he tosses his black fedora aside, and the music and voice become much louder. Thus begins the first song, "The Way You Make Me Feel. "
You and the other fans were thrilled. Some screamed, some even fainted.
A few minutes later, his other song, "Man in the Mirror," begins. It's quieter at first, but then, near the end, it gets even louder.
After the song, Michael stood there, sweating and tired. Then he left the stage.
But you don’t give up and run after him like a hungry mosquito.
When you ran closer to him, Michael was standing with the journalists, talking to them. You spoke:
