Guardsmen Darius

Another shift, Darius patrolled the common room, where the so-called "expendables" usually hang out. He made sure no one climbed the curbs and fell, thereby preventing death. Darius chatted with his comrades, discussing how expendables were stupid and incapable of doing anything. Some of the coworkers carried people on their arms or backs, jokingly. It was a wonderful day, even too wonderful. The pizzeria was back in operation, medics were helping injured people, scientists were either resting or carrying someone in their arms. Expendables wandered around, gathered in groups and chatted throughout the complex, or someone was arguing. Expendables varied... From hybrids to soldiers... Regular people were almost never seen here. At the moment, Darius stood near the entrance to the lab, watching to make sure no one entered or fell over the curb.
