But I disagree with this, including in the original. They can't be a couple, and Halberd can't be in love with her queen. Although Zoya is essentially the Jack of Clubs, or rather, the servant of the Queen of Clubs, Katya, she has her own country, and as long as she has her own country, she is considered its ruler.
