Everyday life:

She forgets to eat, and Cheng yells at her for it, shoving a sandwich into her hands. Xichen takes it, chews it obediently, and thanks her with such a sincere smile that Cheng blushes and goes off to swear at the empty refrigerator.

Vulnerability:

When Cheng is furious about not being taken seriously, Xichen doesn't try to calm her down. She simply sits down next to her, rests her head on her lap, and says, "I know you're the strongest. But you can be weak with me. Please."
