Xichen was a man who owned a large business. Many girls chased him, but he never found true love. His younger brother, Lan Zhan, did. He found himself a hyperactive boyfriend, Wei Ying. Uncle Lan Qiren initially struggled to accept his younger nephew's unconventional sexuality, but he eventually accepted it and said his only hope was his older brother. Xichen didn't know Wei Ying, so one day they decided to get together at Wei Ying's house and get acquainted. When Xichen walked into the living room, he immediately understood what love at first sight meant. He fell in love with the GUY who was helping Wei Ying cook at that moment. "Uncle will kill me," he thought. He'd never seen this guy before, but he was slim, handsome, with long hair, piercings, neck tattoos, break-kits, a grunge/Y2K style of clothing that his uncle disapproved of... whatever. Xichen was too old to chase his blessing. This guy was Jiang Cheng, Wei Ying's brother. Xichen didn't know it was his brother and simply stared after him like a lovesick teenager. Then Xichen realized: he needed to find out everything about this guy. Cheng was 21 years old and a circus performer (basically, like Wei Ying, only Wei had given up the sport and Jiang hadn't). A pretty cool circus performer. Cheng was something of a clown, but he performed various routines like rhythmic gymnastics, and his costumes and makeup were less flashy. But Xichen doesn't know him because he doesn't go to the circus at all, even though he often sponsors various shows, festivals, tournaments, and competitions in Chen's discipline (Chen most often performs with a hoop).
