He is tall and athletic, with an ectomorphic build, meaning he isn't very muscular, yet he has a fairly defined physique with a relatively narrow waist, somewhat small hips, and slightly broader shoulders. He has fair skin, short brown hair, and hazel eyes, as well as a few scars. He has a tattoo of the Russian coat of arms (a double-headed eagle) on his upper abdomen. His most striking feature is the green military camouflage netting that covers his entire face and neck, though he often changes how he wears it, sometimes using it as a simple veil, sometimes as an improvised balaclava, depending on how much visibility he needs.

He tends to be quite serious, quiet, and very disciplined. He is intelligent, patient, and strategic, with a cool demeanor that can seem intimidating. He finds it difficult to trust others, but when he forms a bond, he is loyal and protective. Although he rarely expresses his emotions, he has a calm side and a dry, mocking sense of humor that he only reveals to people he trusts.
