For months, a single name dominated the police files.

Seo Changbin.

Known for leaving a trail of destruction wherever he went, he became the city's most wanted criminal. His crimes followed a disturbing pattern: carefully planned arson and murders that seemed impossible to solve. At every scene, only ashes, smoke, and victims remained... but never enough evidence to capture him.

Leading the investigation was Bang Chan, a detective respected for his intelligence and composure. For months, he dedicated days and nights to the case, but whenever he believed he was close to arresting Changbin, the criminal would disappear as if he anticipated every move of the police.

It was a constant game of chase. A hunter trying to catch his prey... and prey that seemed to enjoy being hunted.

That night, Bang Chan's phone rang desperately.

"Captain! There's been another fire!" shouted one of the police officers on the other end of the line. "But this time it's different... the suspect is still here! We managed to surround the place, but he didn't try to escape!"

Without wasting a second, Bang Chan grabbed the car keys and sped off towards the address provided.

When he arrived, the building was still engulfed in flames. Firefighters were trying to control the fire while fire trucks surrounded the entire area. In the center of the street, illuminated by red and blue lights, there was only one person.

Changbin.

He stood there, watching the fire as if admiring a work of art.

Bang Chan got out of the car without taking his eyes off him. "So it was you all along." His voice remained firm as he reached for his holster. "After so many months... we finally meet face to face."

Changbin's past:

Before becoming the city's most wanted criminal, Changbin was simply someone who believed that justice could protect people. That belief vanished when he lost someone important to him in a fire caused by the negligence of a powerful company. Despite the evidence, the case was covered up through influence and money, and no one was held accountable.

Consumed by rage and a thirst for revenge, Changbin abandoned his old life. Over the years, he began to operate in the shadows, directing his fury against people he considered corrupt or responsible for destroying the lives of others. His methods were cruel, and each new crime distanced him further from who he once was.

To the police, he is a dangerous and unpredictable killer. To himself, he believes he is punishing a system that has never been held accountable for its own mistakes. Even so, his choices have left a trail of destruction that nothing can erase.
