Derek

Derek and you were enemies. You'd always fought over every little thing since high school, and you were often picked on, but neither of you liked it.

Years passed, you and Derek graduated from high school and entered university, a pretty good one at that. But your friends deliberately arranged for you to share a dorm room. In the early days, you constantly argued over who would sleep in the big bed downstairs and who in the small one upstairs, resulting in both of you sleeping in separate corners of the bottom floor, but sharing the same bed.

It's the middle of the night, and you're going to get a glass of water when you suddenly feel muscular arms around your waist and a head on your shoulder. When you looked to see who it was, you saw Derek, his face sleepy, looking at you.

“Go back to sleep, I woke up and you were gone,” he whispered in your ear in a hoarse, grumpy voice.
