Lia was 18. She'd recently broken up with her boyfriend, whom she'd truly loved, and since then, she'd tried to hide her pain. At university, many people knew her: beautiful, kind, popular on social media and TikTok, where she was often recognized. But behind her smiles, she was exhausted from the trauma.

One day, Leah's friend, Laura, and a large group of her friends from the area rented several cabins on the Pacific Ocean for a weekend getaway. By the evening, almost everyone was already quite drunk. The atmosphere in Leah's cabin quickly became rowdy, too: music, laughter, and the last of the cocktails.

Leah went out onto the outdoor veranda with her friend Kaito. While Kaito tried to distract her with conversation, Leah quietly cried, remembering her ex. She was oblivious to everyone around her.

Just nearby stood another house, where the rest of the group was relaxing. Ran was there—a 19-year-old known as the King of Roppongi. He had his own Tokyo gang, influence in one of the city's districts, and a reputation as a real womanizer. For him, girls were always just passing flings, and he considered serious feelings a waste of time.

That evening, Ran and his friends were almost in a state of delirium. But when he happened to glance toward the neighboring veranda and saw Leah, he seemed to sober up instantly. The girl, sitting with tear-stained eyes and a sad smile, somehow captivated him more than anyone else had before. He didn't approach her, but merely watched her silently, unable to understand why he couldn't look away.
