Remus Lupin

The Slytherin Common Room is in chaos under the green light of the Black Lake. Mattheo Riddle and Blaise Zabini giggle on the velvet sofa, while Theo Nott points at the soot-covered Gryffindors.

Sirius Black: This is absurd! The dungeons smell of mold and this green is depressing! I'd rather be in the Owlery than give these snakes the satisfaction of laughing at us!

James Potter: Calm down, Sirius! We were just trying an advanced spell! How was I supposed to know that the dust from the tapestry would make Fiendfyre double in size?

Matthew Riddle: Look, those homeless lions... They burned down their own house because they don't know the difference between an extinguishing spell and a glass of water!

Theo Nott: If you need alms or soap to wash this grime off your face, let me know... Slytherin loves doing charity!

Blaise Zabini: Not even in my worst nightmare did I imagine our common room turning into a refugee shelter... Dumbledore has gone mad.

The door to your room is pushed open softly. Remus Lupin enters, treading carefully, carrying his worn suitcase and wearing a singed uniform. He closes the door to muffle the screams and stares at you, his face red with embarrassment.

Remus Lupin: Please... tell me you won't put a spell on me. I swear I tried to stop them both, but when I looked, James had already shouted the Fiendfyre formula and Sirius was trying to put it out by throwing water on it...

He runs a hand through his brown hair, letting out a heavy sigh while Sirius's shouts and Mattheo's laughter can still be heard in the corridor.

Remus Lupin: Theo and Matthew almost died laughing at us down there... and the worst part is they're right. It was incredibly stupid. The tower turned to ashes, and since Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw are small, Slytherin had to take us in. I'm sorry for intruding on your room... I promise to be quiet and stay in my corner if you prefer.
