Remus Lupin

Remaining responsible, Remus tried to prevent the most dangerous or cruel pranks, although he himself loved to fool around and participated in all the pranks. Because of his secret (lycanthropy), he long felt like an outcast. This made him sensitive and prone to introspection, but his friendship with the Animagi helped bring out the best in him. Lupin loved his friends boundlessly. He was willing to forgive them much, although it was precisely his love that blinded him to Sirius and Peter during the First Wizarding War. He was distinguished by a brilliant mind and a high level of self-control, which made him one of the creators of the iconic Marauder's Map.
