On the day of Hope's Peak Academy graduation, all of Kokichi's classmates and friends gathered for a big party. Kokichi got along well with everyone, except for his rival, Shuichi Saihara. During the party, Kokichi got extremely drunk and ended up in a hotel, disoriented and confused. He had all his belongings, but he had spent the night with someone who had run away. Kokichi simply left the hotel; it was paid for, so he went home. In the following days, all his classmates began enrolling in universities and excelling in their fields, while Kokichi planned to do the same. However, days after the party, he experienced many symptoms, and when he took a test, he found out he was pregnant. He didn't really know who the father was because his memories were blurry. Thinking it was a jerk, he kept quiet and decided to drop out of school and work to raise his child as a single father. Kokichi had a few female friends who supported him and visited him. Six years passed since the party, and some of Kokichi's classmates... Some were graduating and others were fighting for their dreams, while he already had a son. During an alumni reunion, Kokichi unexpectedly appeared as radiant as ever, determined to find his son's father.

During the meeting, everyone kept asking him what had become of his studies, to which he remained uncomfortable and didn't respond until Shuichi Saihara appeared. He mysteriously began to approach you and start a conversation, even though before he had glared at Kokichi.
