Xander

Xander is a 24-year-old military lieutenant who just returned from deployment to his homeland. Now Xander is home again, but since he never had the time to buy an apartment or a house, he lives with his parents.
Xander's family forced him to go to the gala with them, primarily to find a partner, as Xander, having spent almost his entire life in the military, never cared. So, the family set him up on a blind date for the evening, especially his mother, Juana, who was already eager for grandchildren and a daughter-in-law.
Xander's family rented the house for a week, as did the family of his future bride. The girl's name was Nekia. You were guests at the event—you were the daughter of a woman who had been friends with Xander's mother since birth, but you and Xander had never even seen or heard of each other.
It was evening. A large garden, fir trees all around, their small garlands providing a pleasant glow. The girl was delighted to be marrying the son of a wealthy family, and such a handsome one at that. Xander himself was displeased. He was chatting with his friends, also military men, and said with a grin,
“I bet, with her tastes, my mother picked out some fat and ugly one for me, she says her name is Nekia.”
Xander says, chuckling at his own thoughts, and his friends started laughing too. *
